Ask Jessbug!

Hiya Chums and Chummettes,
So I got you guys on instagram and tumblr to ask me some questions and here they are answered! I hope you enjoy :)

1. What is your ideal breakfast?
Strawberry and nutella pancakes with a icey glass of orange and lime juice. Yum!
2. What is your favourite colour?
I know it's boring and depressing and all that but I like grey! I like it in clothes and rooms and everything except skies.
3. What is your favourite makeup/hair/nails/beauty overall product atm?
At the moment I am loving the Bed Head Queen for a Day Thickening Spray! Also, I have a coral lipgloss that goes with my (not needed but highly used) sunglasses which I wear a lot. My blog post about the thickening spray is linked down below if you want to go check it out!
4. Can you complete a rubix cube?
Um, I can do one side but I guess that's not really completing it, no!
5. What's the last thing you took a picture of?
I last took a picture of my healthy skin items for my blog post (linked below)!
6. Have you ever had a surprise party thrown for you? If not then what would your ideal surprise party be?
No I have never had a surprise party thrown for me but I desperately want one! I would love it to be on the beach on a Friday. I want to really not be expecting it and I want someone to blindfold me and drive me there and help me walk over so it would be a real surprise!!! I would want all my friends there and family friends and everyone to go swimming and there be a barbecue  and flower decorations and rose lemonade and an amazing yummy cake. Hint hint anyone I know reading!!!!
7. What is your most important piece of furniture in your house?
I love my bed because I use it for sleeping but I also like the bath because it is grey and stylish and very relaxing to sit in.
8. Do you bite your nails?
No I don't until they get a nice length and look decent for once then I bite them all off and have to start again :(.
9. If you were a captain of a ship, what would the ship be called?
If I could I would call it 'guinea-pig bear'  but that isn't a ship name so I would call it 'Posideon's Grin' because in all the paintings of Posideon he always looks a bit angry…
10. What is your favourite game to play in a woods?
In a woods I love building dens out of big sticks because its so satisfying when it finally stays up and you can crawl inside but if there is a flowing stream and bridge then I play pooh sticks from the book Whinnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne. You go to one side of the bridge and all drop a stick then run to the other side of the bridge to see who's comes out first! In the book it turns out that someone's stick was their donkey friend so they have to rescue him… oops! There's a message for you, make sure that if you are throwing sticks in a river, you don't accidentally throw a donkey.

That's the end! I hoped you enjoyed this more chatty style post and I will see you next Friday with something else (I don't know what yet :/) .

Healthy Skin!

Hiya Chums and Chummettes,
At the moment I am really trying to make my skin look healthy and glowy as winter really doesn't help my complexion *weep weep*. I recently discovered a Boots store at the end of my road which I honestly didn't know about before! For all Chums and Chummettes in other countries, Boots is the main drugstore here in England. I spent yesterday running around it then returned home, my hand covered in swatches and at least 10 different types of makeup remover and moisturiser. It was only today where I tested my products and started my regime for better skin. I hope this will lead to many future blog posts! I decided that I would tell you about the products I am using and how I'm going to try to look healthy and happy for Spring and Summer time!

1. Cleanser
Firstly, I bought a cleanser. This was recommended from a friend as being good for those with sensitive skin types (i.e. me) so I thought I would give it a go. It's the Purifying Cleansing lotion by Simple. It says it is 'kind to skin' and contains multi-vitamins. It is hydrating for the face and I find it tightens the face but not in a bad way. I use it at night to remove my makeup while cleaning my face. It also smells clean. Bonus!

2. Cleansing liquid
While my cleanser is for removing makeup and hydrating skin, the Antiac Multi Action Formula I use before putting makeup on in the morning and after taking it off at night.

3. Exfoliating
A lot of people don't like exfoliating their face but I found special Face Exfoliating Gloves. These are extra gentle and still clear out your pores of dead skin and dirt *cring-wince-ew face*. I'm going to use these once a day at the most as too much scrubbing can damage your skin and cause redness, not good especially on the face!

4. Barley Grass
Barley Grass Powder is so good for you it's insane! It makes your skin glow and your eyes shine and you feel so much healthy and smiley. It is a powder that is green though making it rather un-appetising! That' why I like to put this yucky stuff in a big 1.5-2L bottle of water so you really just can't taste it. This leads me on to my next point…

The Barley grass is shipped online from New Zealand
5.Drinking lots of water!
I'm going to try and drink a lot more water! My friend who is a skin care consultant said to drink a whole glass before breakfast. I'm going to try my best to drink at least 2L a day. This apparently is good for your insides and also good for your skin too! Also I'm eating better food. Well I'm trying...

6. Floradix
Floradix is a medicine health drink. You have 10ml twice a day if you are over 12 and it fills you up with vitamins and iron. You especially need iron if you are a woman and its that time of the month as you can lose it and also its just great for everyone to feel less tired more happy and stronger within themselves.

7. Powder Foundation
Last of all, to make my skin behave, i'm going to start wearing powder foundation *gasp*. This is a lot trickier and time consuming than a simple liquid foundation and the one I use is ALOT more expenssive but is the best one out there according to everyone. I will be using the bareMinerals Blemish Ready. This is meant to be a concealer but as I often have large outbreaks of acne on my face *:(*, I am just using this as a light foundation. Unfortunatley it doesn't have amazing coverage but I discovered in a desperate attempt to make it work properly, that if you mix it with moisturiser or cleanser then it works like a liquid foundation but still doing the same imperfection removing job. I know it's cheating but I do still sometimes use it in its powder form for those no makeup days if I'm popping round to the corner shop. It also comes with a good concealer brush that I use for my concealer but as I am using this product as a foundation then I use my Bobby Pin foundation brush from the JFK collection which is old but still ok.
The bareMinerals powder foundation with the Bobby Pin Brush

I'm very excited about this regime, and i'm pretty sure I will do a before and after post. I'm so excited for Spring and so this is part of my preparing! I just can't wait for sunny days… I don't know about you but where I live its rainy and windy and cold and meh weather! I'll see you on Friday with quite an exciting post :).

Bed Head Queen For A Day Thickening spray

Hiya Chums and Chummettes,
This is the Bed Head Queen for a day Thickening spray.

I got this recently as a gift and didn't use it very much to start off with as I didn't really understand it's potential. Last weekend, I got my hair cut and the hairdresser used this on my hair. I commented on the beautiful smell and was surprised that it came from the same product that was in my bathroom cabinet at the back. I got home and took out the thickening spray to put on my dressing table. Since then, I have used it every day!
What it is:
The Queen for a Day is a foam that you spray out of the bottle. It is really useful for styling your hair and helps your hair look and feel thicker.
What it smells like:
It smells of fresh flowers, fruit, summer and hair product. An amazing combination!
What I use it for:
I use it when I'm going for a messy look in my hair, mostly when my hair is plain and down just to liven it up a bit. I also use it over hair styles to plump them up. I used it today as I had a friend coming over and I woke up late! I had a shower, out on black leggings and a grey sweatshirt, then only got time for concealer, mascara and lip balm before the doorbell went and I opened the door whilst spraying this my hair. Surprisingly indeed, she complimented my 'natural minimal' makeup and my thick fluffy hair, also noting the flowery aroma near the door where I had sprayed it. GRWM over.
Rating 9/10
How it could improve: It makes your hair quite wet when first put in so must be held far away and also sometimes is a little drizzly. Needs a lot of massaging in, other than that, I highly recommend this product!

This is my first review on my blog, I hope you enjoyed it! I apologise for not publishing it on Friday!!! This product is amazing but this post is not sponsored.

Lipsticks!

Hiya Chums and Chummettes!
So I love lipstick. It keeps me smiling! Here are my favourites of the moment. These are my most frequently worn and I have snuck in a lipgloss' too :) Hope you enjoy!

Right to Left: Endless Ruby, Red Passion, Morocco Pink, Lady Danger, Medieval, Hazard, No.5

1. Morocco Pink by Scent and Spice
This colour is limited edition so won't be available  from not a well known company AT ALL!!!  I am going to write about it anyway because I really like it and there are probably dupes of it everywhere. This smells good which is rare in a lipstick and also, changes colour to suit you!!! It changes to go well with your skin tone and lips. Mine personally turns out a bright pinky colour which I really like, as it started out a very orange orange! It also doubles up as a lip balm which is always a bonus :p
2.Hazard by Topshop
This is my first purchase from the Topshop makeup brand and I must say I'm impressed! This is a bright red that looks deep but really turns out more vibrant red than that! I really love this product, especially as the packaging is lovely!
3.Lady Danger by M.A.C
This is a VERY bright orangey lipstick that I really love in the summery months but I also wear it in the  Winter too. This means its my most well used lipstick in my collection! It has lasted me ages already and looks like it has another 6 months wear in it yet!
4.Medieval by Lipstick Queen
This is a pink with red undertones and is very glossy. It isn't too pigmented so perfect for dress down occasions and around the house if you are wearing makeup at all! Its very stylish and really useful!
5. Lipgloss 5 by Miss Sporty
This is my lipgloss that I like at the moment! It was cheap and a really quick drugstore buy when out as I had forgotten lipgloss and was staying overnight at a friends house and going out the following morning to a meeting. It has proven useful as a handbag item but I don't wear it on a day to day basis.
6. Endless Ruby by Maybelline (Super Stay Collection)
This is a 10hour tint gloss. It is very pigmented and deep and dark and goes well with navy blue. This is my discovering so far! This stays on for as long as you need it to and is also a nice colour!
7. Red Passion by Maybelline (Super Stay Collection)
This is a colour type from the super stay collection and it is a 24 hour bold red red. I like that, as it is drying for the lips, one end also has a balm on that is really useful to use with the product. When I swatted this, it didn't come off for a while when wiped, proving that this really works!!!
Right to Left: No.5, Medieval, Red Passion, Lady Danger, Endless Ruby, Morocco Pink, Hazard
I hope you enjoyed my first post with pictures! It was a bit of a fiddle but I'm sure I'll get used to it :)
