My travel makeup bag

So Christmas is over :( but everyone is still feeling happy and merry… What did you get? Comment below so I can have a look. Now, for 1 week, I'm going on holiday to morroco and I am only taking carry on luggage which is pretty tricky! You are only allowed 10x 10ml products! I thought I would tell you the contents of my travel makeup bag because I was pretty pleased with myself when I finally managed to finish it!

1. Mascara
I chose the Max Factor lash extension effect mascara because it is light and smaller than my Maybelline The Flasies. This is a really good mascara for a more feathery effect! I also packed in the Boots 'Natural Collection' In waterproof black because everyone needs a bit of waterproof on holiday!
2. Stick Sunblock
I have put in a sun-block in a stick form to prevent from burning and it also is really handy for lips to keep them moisturised and protected!
3. Blush &eyeshadow
I have a pallet with a blush in 'Iced Lotus' and two basic eyeshadows in nude 'pink' and brown 'slate'  from Clinique. It also has a relatively large mirror which is really handy for an all in one small product.
4.Concealer
I'm taking my trusty Bourjoirs corrector stick which i love!!! It is really handy and doubles up as eye primer and even foundation!
5. Lip balm
Vichy  Aqullia Thermal  is a soothing and repairing balm that is small and really useful!
6.Lipgloss
Burt's Bee's super glossy in 'Juicy Peach'. It is really good for your lips and has a good shine to it. It also smells wonderful and has a pink tint!
7. Eyeshadow
I have got a george eyeshadow in No. 10 Silver because it is simple and goes with every outfit and look.
8. Burt's Bee's Hand Cream
I chose this because it is really soothing and comes in a tiny little tin. It is also solid so there is no worry of leaks. It is great for hot and dry countries as you hands might get extra dry!

So there we are, thank you so so so much for all your views and please comment  some ideas for new posts! I hope you are liking it all so far. I love you all…

My Top 5 Festive Traditions

Dear Chums and Chumettes,
So as it's coming up to CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! I decided I might post 5 of my favourite traditions around this time. If you don't celebrate Christmas then these might just be fun things to do anyway. And also, please like and please comment!!! I love receiving comments about anything and ideas of what to post about so that would be lovely lovely lovely :). I'm so very excited! So here we go!

1. Shopping!
If you don't know, I always love shopping but especially round Christmas, I really enjoy going into the shopping area and feeling the festivity of the buskers and the new winter collections. I also really enjoy buying gifts for people at any time of the year, especially in this season.

2. Terry's Chocolate Oranges!
Chocolate Oranges are sooooo nice for a really festive, cosy, snuggly feel. I love them and I eat way too many….. :/

3. Slippers
I do love slippers, even rubbishy ones for 5 quid. I will link below to Tiger stores where I recently picked up a lovely pair in red. They also come in a darkish blue and they cost £5. They are actually really good quality and are really cosy and a good design. Slippers really set a mood of cosy warmth and are great for baggy jumpers and messy bun days when you trudge around the house with freezing feet.

4. Duvets and Movie nights
I especially love these with my best friend eating popcorn and watching an old movie everyone has seen before but forgotten about (Disney!?!!!). This makes everything more exciting and gives you something to look forward to before Christmas arrives.
5. Secret Santa
Incase you didn't know, secret santa is where everyone writes their name on a slip of paper and puts it in a hat and then everyone picks one out. They don't tell anyone who they got, then buy them a small gift. They try not to make the handwriting obvious but write their name on the (wrapped) present and then all put them in a pile. You go up and find your own. Recently I did a secret santa with my 'team of friends'. I got a present and tried really hard by wrapping it up with a ribbon and printing the name nicely on the paper. Inside I just put mini marshmallows and a bar of chocolate and a knitted beard for someone who is not really a close friend and they loved it so much that it kind of brought us closer and made me feel really good. I got socks and a mug and a bar of chocolate from my person. Our price limit was £7 but it can be anything from £1- £10 or more. This is a really fun thing to do so that you get a present for someone who, otherwise, wouldn't really be a part of your festivities and gift givings.

So thats my top 5 festive traditions. I hope you enjoyed them! Please comment your favourite things to do at this time of year and I hope you have a spectacular Christmas/ December and a brilliant new year. Also, please think about people who don't have as much and even as a christmas present, you could donate to a charity of your choice in someone else's name then give them the free magnet or whatever you receive. Other than that, I hope you have a lovely time and wherever you are, have a brilliant Christmas. Merry festivities and I love you very very much!!!

Winter Makeup Essentials!

Hello again Chums and Chummettes,
So as it is coming up to the colder weather, I thought that I would share my Wintery essentials. Comment if I should do fashion but I thought today I would just do my makeup choices.
So I'm going to start with lips.
Lips:
So, I'm only putting two products here out of my collection because these are my winter favourites and I love them!
The first is M.A.C matte lipstick in 'Lady Danger.' I love this because it is a bright orangey red and is good for lightening up a day. This is good for all year round which makes it very well used :).
The second is from the Maybelline New York Super Stay collection which I adore but my Winter favourite is the 10 hour Tint Gloss in 'Endless Ruby' because its a deep red colour and goes with a lot!
        Lip care:
My first lip care product is good old Vaseline. Vaseline is good for simple snug days although mostly its not my first choice of lip care product. Vaseline comes in lots of different 'flavours' if you will, and my favourite is the Vaseline Lip Therapy with rose and almond oil 'Rosy Lips'. It has a subtle smell that is nice and a pink tint to it.
My second product is Burt's Bees Super Glossy lip shine in 'Juicy Peach'. This is an essential because it moisturises like a balm but with a fruity flavour and a sheer colour gloss. I personally like the Juicy each best because it has a good pink colour and a lovely flavour but all the other flavours are lovely as well.
Lastly, for winter, I adore Cowshed all round but for lips, I love Lippy Cow natural lip balm. I picked this up in a posh hotel that had cowshed products free in the bathrooms but I will definitely stock up for the Christmas period! Another bonus point is that it smells divine!!!

So onto eyes!
Eyes:
Mascara choice of the season would have to be Maybelline 'The Falsies'. I love love Love this mascara, especially in the colder months as it really defines the lashes with a lacey effect. I also like the brush which is a curved shape to fit the eye.
Eyeshadow pick is actually a Bobby Pin. This isn't a very well known brand and it is usually poor quality but from the JF collection, I have discovered the eyeshadow pallet and I really like this for all year round because it is an assortment of colours. I usually mix the pink, silver and cream colour which creates a nice effect.
For eyeliner, I really like the Maybelline Smokey Eyes pencil. It is REALLY thick and black and on the other end is a small sponge which is used for blending and smoothing out which I really like because you can blur it up if you do a wobbly line!

Now skin!
Skin:
My highlighter pick of all time is the Benefit High Lights. I like this because it has a shimmer to it and is also really defining.
Concealer would had to be the Bourjours corrector stick. It is an old product but is one of the best I have.
Foundation has got to be the Clinique super balanced foundation. It is great for a mixture of skins and is good for blending and concealing too. Its also oil free! Yay!!!!

So thanks for reading and I hope it was of use to you to you
                                                                                    * ;) *

Why are you so skinny??

Hiya little Chums and Chummettes,
I am going to go on a little rant about something that people have been asking me recently on the lead-up to Christmas which is making me very un-festive. I don't think people realise that asking the question 'Why are you so skinny?' Or 'You are so thin!' is very offensive. It puts people in a situation where they think that they feel like they are prominently skinny. Skinny and thin are not compliments. However you may say them. Slim and slender are more appropriate and are fine for complimenting. For example, if someone said,  "Why are you so thin?" I would be offended and self-conscious for an amount of time. If someone said 'Oh you look lovely and slender' or 'you look perfectly slim tonight', I would be satisfied. As another example, a few days ago on a train, a friend said to me, as a compliment, 'Wow you look so skinny!'. I immediately shook my head and, seeing I was offended she said, "Well you look thin.' I corrected her by saying, "Don't tell people like that, saying 'You look nice in that outfit" or "You look great tonight" is perfectly fine, don't pick out things like thin or skinny." You wouldn't point out someones curves in that way unless you are complimenting them and if they are a close friend and you really have worried about them then maybe you could ask in a comforting way about their skinny body. But skinny doesn't mean slim. It means:
1. Very thin.
2. Of, relating to, or resembling skin.
Just skin and bones. People used to point out my bones as being prominent, I used to have pointy allows and knees and things like that and one thing people used to say was 'you should be in a museum because you are just so bony, like a fossil!' This plummeted my confidence levels and they were just joking. And another thing, they might have an eating disorder, body problems, self-conscious, diet issues, weight issues etc. Its not going to make anything better by telling them they look skinny. If anything it will make it worse. Promise.

Let's replace the word 'skinny' with fat. The words skinny and thin are the same in opposite form to fat and obese. You wouldn't ask 'Why are you so fat?' or 'You look obese today.' If anything, make sure its a complement before saying anything. 'Wow, you look lovely and slim tonight!' Is something that will make people feel good about themselves as will 'Wow you look lovely and curvy tonight!'. So thats my rant over, just please remember that it IS offensive and impolite.
