Dear Chums and Chumettes,
So as it's coming up to CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! I decided I might post 5 of my favourite traditions around this time. If you don't celebrate Christmas then these might just be fun things to do anyway. And also, please like and please comment!!! I love receiving comments about anything and ideas of what to post about so that would be lovely lovely lovely :). I'm so very excited! So here we go!
1. Shopping!
If you don't know, I always love shopping but especially round Christmas, I really enjoy going into the shopping area and feeling the festivity of the buskers and the new winter collections. I also really enjoy buying gifts for people at any time of the year, especially in this season.
2. Terry's Chocolate Oranges!
Chocolate Oranges are sooooo nice for a really festive, cosy, snuggly feel. I love them and I eat way too many….. :/
3. Slippers
I do love slippers, even rubbishy ones for 5 quid. I will link below to Tiger stores where I recently picked up a lovely pair in red. They also come in a darkish blue and they cost £5. They are actually really good quality and are really cosy and a good design. Slippers really set a mood of cosy warmth and are great for baggy jumpers and messy bun days when you trudge around the house with freezing feet.
4. Duvets and Movie nights
I especially love these with my best friend eating popcorn and watching an old movie everyone has seen before but forgotten about (Disney!?!!!). This makes everything more exciting and gives you something to look forward to before Christmas arrives.
5. Secret Santa
Incase you didn't know, secret santa is where everyone writes their name on a slip of paper and puts it in a hat and then everyone picks one out. They don't tell anyone who they got, then buy them a small gift. They try not to make the handwriting obvious but write their name on the (wrapped) present and then all put them in a pile. You go up and find your own. Recently I did a secret santa with my 'team of friends'. I got a present and tried really hard by wrapping it up with a ribbon and printing the name nicely on the paper. Inside I just put mini marshmallows and a bar of chocolate and a knitted beard for someone who is not really a close friend and they loved it so much that it kind of brought us closer and made me feel really good. I got socks and a mug and a bar of chocolate from my person. Our price limit was £7 but it can be anything from £1- £10 or more. This is a really fun thing to do so that you get a present for someone who, otherwise, wouldn't really be a part of your festivities and gift givings.
So thats my top 5 festive traditions. I hope you enjoyed them! Please comment your favourite things to do at this time of year and I hope you have a spectacular Christmas/ December and a brilliant new year. Also, please think about people who don't have as much and even as a christmas present, you could donate to a charity of your choice in someone else's name then give them the free magnet or whatever you receive. Other than that, I hope you have a lovely time and wherever you are, have a brilliant Christmas. Merry festivities and I love you very very much!!!
